    4 days after my post about Lenovo System Update, Lenovo brought the service back!!!

    if you are on Vista SP2, you may get error on 10%,

    to solve this navigate to

    c:\Program Files\Lenovo\System Update\session\system\SSClientCommon\MappingInterface.xml

    and add

    <OS>

    <OSTVIA>VS-BUS.SP2</OSTVIA>

    <OSeGatherer>

    <Name>Vista Business</Name>

    <ServiceRelease>Service Pack 2</ServiceRelease>

    </OSeGatherer>

    <OSQuest>Windows Vista</OSQuest>

    </OS>

    then update will proceed normaly.
