Question to Lotus community about Traveler security, and some tips on customizing DOMLOG.NSF to see Lotus Traveler activity

My company just started to use Traveler 8 on Domino 8.0.2,

To track how many people and from which devices connect to the Domino, you can add a new view to domlog.nsf, and set selection formula
    Select userAgent="IBM SyncML Client"

it will filter all the devices and all the clients, nice view will show who uses Traveler.

It is nice, that every requested URL has DeviceID parameter, which is tied to DEVICE, so even if different users use same device , you can track this, if needed.

Implementing Traveler, I thought what would I should do, if some of my colleagues device will be stolen or lost?????
First thing comes in mind reset password. but how to erase information on the remote device?

Second thought that comes in my mind, may be assign Explicit policy to this user, to narrow information to 0 days in the past, and 0 in advance to erase all calendar and mail entries? will it work?
at the present moment haven't found solution, how to act in such cases...  Any idea? Have some one tested this BAD CASE?

I believe remote wipe is a feature of version Traveler 8.5 which will be released soon.

    Thanks for sharing.

One question: Do you use Traveler in your internal network only or how does your infrastructure looks like?. Mail server internal and Traveler Server as a seperate machine in DMZ?

I'm thinking of using a reverse proxy with traveler, but I'm not sure if this is ok ...

Hi, we have Traveler on one of our Mail servers, so there is no separate server. Is is less secure, but it is too expensive to have SameTimes, QuickR, Traveler on a separate server in addition to mail cluster and apps server. as ONLY one ADVANCED (sametime, quickr, traveler) product can be installed on top of Domino.

I have a paranoia on security, so I have special agents that check domlog.nsf for hack attempts and one of my tool, I have Posted on planetlotus.org ACLChecker is intended to keep AnONYMOUS and DEFAULT entries in right order, so noone can hack server.
