DAOS RESYNC command, will it be ok, to schedule this as a best practice on a server

Vladislavs Tatarincevs  7 May 2009 15:32:19
I have migrated some customers to Domino 8.5, I implemented DAOS and clients LOVE this feature.
when I started to dig into DAOSMGR commands,
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/domhelp/v8r0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.help.domino.admin85.doc/DOC/H_DAOS_MANAGER_TELL_COMMANDS_DETAILS.html
I noticed resync command, so I found that catalog need to be checked with and also that DDM creates a ticket, when DAOS need to be resynched.

TELL DAOSMGR CATALOG Status, and if DAOS need to be resynched then run
TELL DAOSMGR RESYNCH

I think that may be it is a good idea, to plan this command let's say on Saturday morning, once a week?
like we do Compacts, and other maintenance tasks?

than we can automate this process, does anybody see a bad side in puting this in a Programme documents scheduled once a week?

There is also an option to handle this by DDM automatically...

I shouldn't set this sync to be automatically. It would create lots of CPU cycles and IO load for nothing.

Insetad I would create a ticket in DDM as soon you DDM reports that the catalog needs to be resynced DDM will automatically start the sync
