Nokia unable to establish connection over custom SSL port (Lotus Traveler)

Vladislav Tatarincev  25 November 2010 12:41:38
Today we had one issue on customer site, Lotus Traveler was installed on Nokia E72,  and it was unable to establish connection over custom SSL port.  Under custom I mean not 443, but something different like 1234.
Other users have same phone and no problem reported from them.

The first thing we did is checked if Nokia browser is able to open Traveler page over SSL. And we found that also Nokia browser was unable to open page, so we concluded that problem is not with Lotus Traveler, but with phone itself. we spend many hours trying to fix this, we upgraded firmware, this has NOT solved issue. Should I say it was some VIP phone? ;) so we had no other option than fix it.
as customer uses Selft Trusted SSL certificate, we removed certificate from phone and added certificate again. And... miracle! it started to work.

Decided to describe it, so if someone will face this problem on Nokia, first check if Nokia browser is able to open page, then play with Certificates (reImport it again).
