Hi, This tip can be useful for new Domino administrators,
Sometimes your user send an encrypted mail, which contains some sensitive information.

Imagine you are far from your office, and you connect via WebMail and try to open this very important mail... and Web browser returns you a responce that this message is crypted...
The encryption keys are stored in your ID file, and it is normal that browser is unable to decrypt a message.

Starting from release 6.x you can embed your ID file in a mail file and then you will be able to read all crypted mails. (whether you mail file is crypted or only sender marked this mail as a crypted).

To embed a Notes ID you need to open webAcces (iNotes) Tools->Preferences.
Under security you need to choose Import Notes ID.

That's all. :)

If you have a periodic password change, then later you need to sync passwords.

If you change Notes/Web Password, you will need to write down the same password in preferences. (number 2 on a picture).

I just saw technote from IBM, which does not cover this issue. They suggest to set encryption to NO.

Messages accessed in iNotes are encrypted and cannot be viewed
